What is yerba mate? Yerba mate, from the Ilex Paraguariensis, is native to the South American Atlantic Rainforest. The Guaraní tribe was the first to discover the plant and not shortly after already named it the 'drink of the gods.' For good reason: yerba mate is famous for the many antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals it holds.
Our green yerba mate There is one kind of yerba mate, but different ways of preparing it. We chose a soft green, airdried, sustainably grown maté. So not from a ordinary plantation, but sustainably grown under trees and bought straight from the farmer. This is what gives our yerba mate a fresh, green, and unique taste.
