The crushed kratom leaves in powder give the body the energy it needs when it doesn't get it twice. It is usually served in an amount that can fit in a few teaspoons. Kratom or Mitragyna speciosa is an evergreen tree related to the coffee tree that grows in tropical areas of Southeast Asia such as Thailand, Indonesia, Burma or Malaysia. We can find mentions of its use in traditional medicine as early as the 19th century, but kratom was also later used in some of these areas as a substitute for opiates. (more info)
